Company Community Involvement Programs:

The IMA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization funded through the IMA Financial Group that distributes funds to community initiatives in which their associates participate either personally or through corporate networks. The IMA Foundation has consistently given in excess of 2.5% of our operating profit over the last 15 years.

The Community Action Committee is an employee volunteer committee that supports and encourages employees to donate time, energy and funds in order to improve the quality of life in our Colorado communities. The CAC currently supports the following groups within our community: Bryant Webster Elementary (through the School partners Program of the Denver Public Schools Foundation), Gateway Battered Women's Shelter, Volunteers of America - Meals on Wheels Program, Denver's Road Home, Habitat for Humanity, Kempe Foundation, I Have a Dream Foundation, Race for the Cure, Denver Dumb Friends League, the United Way and Bonfils Blood Center. The FAO Schwartz Volunteer Award is given each year to an IMA employee who proves to be a "Fantastic Advocate for Others" and includes an additional $1,000 donation to the charity of their choice. The Adopt-a-Platoon program sends monthly gift boxes to our servicemen oversees. The CAC alone contributes over 3000 volunteer hours a year in our Denver communities.

IMA also encourages and supports its employees' Board Involvement. Denver is one of seven IMA offices, but in Denver alone, (with 175 employees), the executives, managers and staff serve on, chair or work with over 30 local non-profit boards, including: Warren Village, Gateway Battered Women's Shelter, I Have a Dream Foundation, CollegeInvest, The Denver Art Museum, Qualistar Early Learning, The Mile High United Way, the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, the Denver Metro Chamber Foundation, the Downtown Denver Partnership, and Denver's Road Home among many others.

IMA has an active United Way Campaign, and supports other Fundraising Initiatives including in-house programs to support needy families during holidays throughout the year, as well as insurance industry collaboration to support our designated charities.

At IMA, there is a culture that encourages and supports community involvement. The company lives by their purpose statement - to protect assets and make a difference.
