William Schmidt

Mr. William Schmidt is Of Counsel to the Denver office of Holland & Hart, LLP. He has worked hard on behalf of the Denver community for many years in the healthcare and youth services arena. Mr. Schmidt sat on the Board of Directors and was the Past President for Lutheran Medical Center Foundation. He also sat on the Board for St. Joseph Hospital Foundation and Christian Chaplain Services. He served as an Advisor to the Aspen Valley Hospital Foundation and as a Planned Giving Advisor for the National Jewish Medical and Research Center. For over 20 years, Mr. Schmidt was the President of the Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Foundation. He is on the Professional Advisory Board of The Denver Foundation, and is an advisor on two of its donor advised funds. His interest in youth issues results in his being on the Boards of Goodwill Industries of Denver, Go For It Foundation and the Young Philanthropists Foundation. In addition, he is the current Chair for the Board of Trustees of the Bonfils Blood Center Foundation.

In addition to his own philanthropic work, Mr. Schmidt is involved with his firm's charitable organization, the Holland & Hart Foundation. The Holland & Hart Foundation was established in 1998 to carry on the firm's tradition of community service. Its mission is to build community internally, locally and globally through charitable and educational activities and programs with present and former lawyers, staff and their families through service to the communities of which they are a part.
